ABOUT US


The Universitas Foundation was established in 2016, having as its main mission the promotion of knowledge for purposeful change in the world.

The aims of Universitas Foundation are:

  • To foster knowledge through supporting research leading to innovative proposals for tackling contemporary social, economic and political problems,
  • To transmit Knowledge through forums of open communication, publications and other means,
  • To establish and/ or support knowledge creation institutions such as universities and research centres.

Furthermore and as specified by its mission, the Universitas Foundation aims for knowledge which can be put in the service of worthy causes such as sustainable development, democracy, open and transparent institutions, multicultural cohabitation, peaceful coexistence and respect for civil and human rights.

The Universitas Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Cyprus, is pleased to announce the International Scholarly Conference entitled:

Reimagining and Rebuilding Palestine:
Genocide, Trauma, and the Future of a Suffering Nation

The conference will be held on 30 and 31 January 2026 at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, from 09:00 to 19:30 on both days. The conference sessions will be held in Room 010 (“Evi Sofianou”, SFC07), located in the Social Activities Building 07, within the University of Cyprus campus (1 Panepistimiou Avenue, Aglantzia, Nicosia).
